The lakes and streams in Westchester host a huge variety of fish, including Large Mouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Pike, Pickeral, and Perch. The reservoirs also hold Lake Trout and Salmon. The rivers and streams in Northern Westchester, such as Amawalk Reservoir, are great for trout fishing, with species like rainbows, brown, and brook trout to name a few.

You will need two types of licenses: the NYS watershed license and the NYC Dept of Enviro Conservation permit to fish in the reservoir tributaries.
